A Few Words About My Upcoming Book – Just Because You Axed’

Okay, many of you have been axin’ me about my upcoming book. Since I can’t answer everyone individually due to time constraints, I’ll try to answer on the blog here. This will be short.

First, the new book is out now in *some* stores, but we (PTMIN as well as the publisher) would like to request that you wait to obtain it on March 8th or afterward. (The date used to be March 2nd, but we’ve moved the date up.)

Let me ’splain.

I wrote this in our Feb. newsletter, but I’ll share it briefly here with the blog audience as it will give you some context. (For some reason, people often wonder about such things so I feel it’s good to share it.)

I do not take a salary for my ministry and never have. I do not charge honorariums when I speak. As far as I can remember, I’ve never asked for a donation. And I’ve never been supported by God’s people. (No, I don’t rob banks either :-) Royalties from my books go back into the ministry (supporting our ministry costs) as well as to help those in need that the Lord puts on our hearts. While I have no critical word to say about those who may do the above, I’m simply speaking for myself.

That said …

The new book is called, FROM ETERNITY TO HERE. Here’s a pic of the cover:

Unlike my other books, FROM ETERNITY TO HERE is not about church practices or traditions. It’s about God’s glorious mission and the grand narrative of Scripture. And where we fit into that incredible, epic drama.

So this is a book that all Christians will appreciate, including pastors – some of whom enthusiastically endorsed the book.

Now, on Sunday March 8th, www.Parable.com — an online Christian bookstore — will be selling the book at a huge discount. They are also helping us get the word out about the book, so I think it’s only fitting that we send folks to them to obtain the book.

Parable.com will also be scoring sales beginning March 8th, so that means if a lot of folks buy it on or after that date FROM THEM, there will be far more attention given to the book. Which means more people will be able to benefit from its message (which happened to radically change my life, thus the reason why I wrote it).

I have said that this will be the most important book I will ever write.

That’s not hype, folks. I say it soberly, and you will never hear me say such a thing about any other book that comes from my pen … or keyboard. (Feel free to print out the above paragraph and put it in your safety-deposit box if you like) ;-)

People can order from Parable.com from any country.

So that’s the reason and the intention for the March 8th date.

LIFEWAY will also be selling the book, and the same applies to obtaining it from them on March 8th or after. They will be counting sales then.

So if you feel so inclined and would like to help us get the message of this book out to the max. number of people as possible, then I would deeply appreciate your help by buying it from Parable or LifeWay beginning March 8th. And yes, I’ll blog a reminder on March 8th.

it sounds very interesting and cant wait until the 8th. It will probably be very refreshing to read being that it is about our story (our, meaning us and Him). A quote came to my mind the other day and it was “we are HIs dream”; this seems to fit the introdutction described, anyway….May the Lord continue HIs work in you
