My Top Three Favorite YouTube Videos & Breaking News

Thanks to all who participated in Monday’s edition of “open lines.” I really enjoyed seeing the wide diversity of opinions on our question. They were about as diverse as diverse gets.

The three numbers that I selected were #4, #19, and #54.

Since we didn’t have 54 comments (tear rolling from left eye), that means that two people were awarded prizes: Eric H. and Annette.

Eric H. and Annette – please write Jeanette at PTMIN@aol.com with your address and you will receive a free copy of my newest book, Reimagining Church, along with an audio CD.

Now for a special announcement:

Breaking News from the Blog Manager: You will not want to miss the blog for Friday, Sept. 5th. Tell all your friends to visit this blog on that day. Announce it on your own blog. Pass out flyers to strangers on the street even. Why? Because we are giving away – not small prizes like we did this week – but huge prizes to everyone who participates! Plus, what we will be doing on Friday, Sept. 5th has never been done or tried before in the history of the blogosphere. So don’t miss it. You will definitely want to be one of those people who participates so that you can tell your grandchildren that “you were there” when it went live for the first time. You don’t want to be one of those people who only “heard” about it after-the-fact. So mark it down on your calendar. Friday, September 5th, 2008.

On Thursday, I fly to Dallas for the 2008 National House Church Conference. I hope to meet some of you there. Consequently, I won’t be blogging until Monday morning. So this little blog break will give many of you who are just joining us a chance to play “catch up” and read the previous postings.

This is important as a certain kind of culture is being shaped around here.

In closing, here are my top three favorite YouTube videos. (Sorry, I don’t know how to “embed” them. So you’ll have to click the link, watch, and then hit return to see the next video.)
